York Women’s Counselling Service (YWCS) is seeking an inclusive leader * to provide operational leadership and strategic oversight for the charity. 

YWCS delivers professional, low-cost counselling services to women across the city irrespective of their ability to pay.  This is an exciting opportunity for an effective leader to join our innovative and growing charity which received the MBE for charities, Kings Award for Voluntary Service, in 2023. 

You will lead the delivery of  our three-year strategic plan designed to continue and develop the excellent, life-changing work of the organisation, as well as securing a sustainable financial model for the future. 

We welcome applications from someone who is excited by the opportunity to grow and develop the charity whether they are an experienced senior leader, or if this is their first time taking on such a role. 

Alongside an ability to think strategically, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in income generation, experience of hands-on operational experience and oversight, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
